Understanding the benefits of eating more fresh organic food is increasing, and for many reasons such as weight loss, more energy, healthy blood pressure and cholestrol, reduce risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer and of course a healthier environment. All balanced, healthy diets have ONE thing in common. They are more alkaline than acid in their diet  plan.

With an alkaline diet, the majority of our food choices will be in the fresh fruit and vegetable range.  Organic food is far more alkalizing as it has no acidic chemicals in the growing of the plant.  What this means for the environment is that we would create more organic farming and use less commercially denatured foods. With less chemicals being used in the environment, the positve side benefit affects the alkaline / acid balance of our environment.  Even choices such as our toiletries and cosmetics can be organic and synthetic chemical free, so an alkaline diet also covers our external needs!
